December 25, 2009 8:00 p.m. Breaking News Flight 253 NorthWest Airlines Airbus 330– Attacked by Terrorist
A terrorist attempted to blow up a plane from Amsterdam to Detroit hours ago and similar to the shoe bomber he used hydrogen peroxide to try to detenate the bomb. The Delta jet which is owned by Northwest Airlines was headed into Detroit when a passenger lit a device intending to blow up the plane.

The man from Nigeria is Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab who is 23 years old is held under arrest and an in flight emergency when he ignited the fairly sofisticated bomb under his seat. The man is said to have ties to Al-Qaeda chose December 25th -Christmas day when flights are much busier and crowds would have allowed for a lapse in security.
Two other passengers were injured and the bomber himself suffered burns when he lit himself on fire and the plane landed safely. The terrorists is in custody and Federal Agents are investigating the incident.
Other passengers that determined there was danger became panicked in the immediate area of the terrorist and other passengers subdued him and kept him controlled until the plane landed.

It is time to start doing like the Isrealis do, and profile these nut cases. We need more security, especially from these transit passengers from suspect areas. I do not mind waiting thrree more hours for my flight, if it means arriving alive!

The guy is typically un-Ngerian as facts show he was not raised in Nigeria where no matter how threatening life situations are, we are not prone to suicide. Blowing up a plane means he will get killed also and no matter how Moslem he is, is not a Nigerian character. The guy should be starved to death. I suggest this because he is from such privileged background that he doesnt have an inkling as to what true suffering is. Most Nigerians are hungry for food to eat. He is hungry for people to kill. He is satanic. Pls dont bother with prison sentence that will treat him as good as American thief – Maddoff. Pls starve him to death. Period
How about getting some guys with people skills to work in security? Nut cases stand out in a crowd and even with intensive training these terrorists can’t easily hide the kind of fear they must harbor hours before killing themselves. Seventh paradise or not.
Being suspicious of everyone just calls for generalization, and that makes it easier for bad guys to slip through.
Profiling narrows it down, but in the end it comes down to sensing whether or not the guy in front of you is a killer.
How did this goof pass twice and board airliners with items like this? Our lazy TSA people are either burned out, undereployed and no real training. How much does each passenger pay in 9/11 fees? Some examples: In some airports my belt buckle sets off an alarm, so do not? WHY? An by mistake I did have my swiss army knife with me on a several flight trip. After I got home I found it and did not have a good feeling about the TSA. Of course next time, I traveled. That item was left at home. My cheap use fives razor always makes it past the TSA.
This goof was on a do not fly list to the UK. Why are we not talking and sharing data with our allies?
We got lucky this time. All it takes for these goofs is one success and they are dancing in the streets.
The tax payers he tried to murder will be buying him three squares a day for a very long time. Let him in the Rikers Island yard for about five minutes…….

I have questions . Do you think the airport security is good enough? Does the security homeland know this happen a head of time? Who is the leader in us ambassy in Nigeria ? These department and people should think more about their Job
Airports are the one to be blamed on this kind of terrorism attacks. They should have a tight security.
The gentle man is a nigerian but was thought evil by his religion,i pray they should receive christ teachings that says, thou shall not kill.
Nigerians are being blamed for this attack. I dont think this is right as the chap’s father has warned the authorities of his son’s activities tho he didnt know for sure what he planned.
The Terrorist was trained in school and his associations with Al-Quada connected in Yeman. Nigeria has its share of terrorism just like other countries.
