December 25, 2009 8:00 p.m. Breaking News Flight 253 NorthWest Airlines Airbus 330– Attacked by Terrorist
A terrorist attempted to blow up a plane from Amsterdam to Detroit hours ago and similar to the shoe bomber he used hydrogen peroxide to try to detenate the bomb. The Delta jet which is owned by Northwest Airlines was headed into Detroit when a passenger lit a device intending to blow up the plane.

The man from Nigeria is Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab who is 23 years old is held under arrest and an in flight emergency when he ignited the fairly sofisticated bomb under his seat. The man is said to have ties to Al-Qaeda chose December 25th -Christmas day when flights are much busier and crowds would have allowed for a lapse in security.
Two other passengers were injured and the bomber himself suffered burns when he lit himself on fire and the plane landed safely. The terrorists is in custody and Federal Agents are investigating the incident.
Other passengers that determined there was danger became panicked in the immediate area of the terrorist and other passengers subdued him and kept him controlled until the plane landed.
