High school biology should tell you that flu viruses change all the time, there are thousands of strains.  In fact, new ones get pandemic every year during flu season. And sometimes they get DNA from other animals like birds and pigs, and create very virulent strains. H1N1 is one of those, and it has already killed more people in the US than the seasonal flu (since August).</description>
