March 21, 2011 Obama Bombs in Trip to Brazil
The smiles are gone out of the faces of the girls as they step off Air Force One, Mrs. Obama looks a tad bit tired and the President is showing sagging skin on his face.
He looks tired, defeated and worn out on his trip to Brazil and did not quite receive a hero’s welcome. Not the bouncing young Barack Obama of the 2008 Presidential Election.
He looks terribly concerned and deep in thought, trying to make some sense of it all and wondering where he went wrong.
Although he probably did not see the displays of protesters to his trip to Brazil, the streets were evidently filled with protesters and police in riot gear. Police attempted to stop the protesters as one threw a Molotov cocktail at the US Consulate door. The riots got so bad that he had to cancel an open aired speech in Rio due to safety concerns.
Brazil’s economy is outpacing the US and Obama’s trip was to increase exports to Brazil and create American jobs. Obama met with President Dilma Reousseff and to mend fences between the two countries.
‘Put simply, the United States doesn’t simply recognize Brazil’s rise, we support it enthusiastically. I believe we’ve laid the foundation for greater cooperation between the United States and Brazil for decades to come.”Brazil is rich with oil as much as 33 billion barrels as it taps into its newly found resource.
Brazil is also exploring ethanol and other forms of energy for the future, not relying solely on oil for its only financial resource. President Obama has a tough sales job trying to get Brazil to import products from the USA when it has 130 million workforce and is growing strongly on the world stage of growing economic countries in Latin America. Just like other Latin American countries Obama is visiting to promote US products, such products as Monsanto Genetically Modified seeds, pesticides and products that would negatively affect Brazil’s food supply.
Americans must know that their President’s and politicians are not trusted or welcomed in their country and that the US has lost all credibility due to its corporate controlled government that is only interested in profits.
