The world of diseases like Parkinson disease, liver disease and spinal cord injuries may become a thing of the past, with President Barack Obama passes approval for embryonic stem cell research in the USA.
The Geron Corporations CEO Dr. Thomas Okarma stated that stem cell research can be used with 8 different cells, heart muscles, diabetes, liver, cartilage, bone cells, immune cells for cancer and can reverse these diseases. This can avoid the useless application of drugs that only treat symptoms and have difficult side effects.
Obama Approved of Stem Cell Research but the FDA did Not.
This is an ethical and reliable use of medical science that has been stopped by the religious right and the Bush administration in the past, but now that Obama is President we will see more positive results from stem cell research which does not necessarily have to rely totally on embryonic stem cells but can be used in conjunction with stem cells from parts of one’s own body.
