Your at the fast food place and you just ordered a coke, or Sprite from the self serve fountain along with your hambuger. You put your cup in the machine and get that nice coke to go with your meal. Do you know if you want to drink it though? Do you know what is likely to be in that soft drink?

Or for that matter your at the window in the drive thru and someone hands you a coke or pepsi with your take out. You really have to watch this video.
Source of this information is from the International Journal of Food Microbiology and impacts on public health. You have to wonder why people get sick after eating at a fast food joint.
Facts: A recent study of Soda Fountain Self Serve Machines revealed this:
1) 70 percent of the Beverage Machines were contaminated with bacteria.
2) 48 percent of this bacteria was Fecal Bacteria – from human waste.
3) 11 percent were Ecoli Bacteria.
4) Other people or employees have infected the soda fountain and they are not cleaned.
5) The water lines are not cleaned -do not depend on the fast food joint to clean them.
6) Employees of these establishments are not being monitored for cleanliness.
7) There are no standards for bacteria in public soda machines.
Your better off not to frequent these fast food businesses.
9) Bring your own drinks, buy pure juice in a glass bottle only.
10) Wash your hands before eating any foods or drinks.
For your own safety do not buy soft drinks from fast food businesses -they are contaminated.
