The book release of Game Changer has caused some problems for political candidates across both party lines in the past few days including Sarah Palin.
On CBS 60 Minutes yesterday a blistering attack on Sarah Palin might have been the final straw that led her to finalize her contract with Fox Network. The interview with Steve Schmidt proved to be too much information against the ex-Governor of Alaska. Mr. Steve Schmidt the top campaign strategist of John McCain in his CBS interview was critical of Sarah Palin’s chances of becoming a Vice President and that she was not intellectually capable during the campaign.
Basically Steven Schmidt was seeking revenge for the comments about him in Palin’s book Going Rogue and as he stated that her book was inaccurate your led to believe this is a battle within the GOP and campaign executives. On top of this the bombshell book Game Changer has opened old wounds with the McCain campaign executives. Palin has signed on for a multi-year deal with Fox and her supporters couldn’t be more thrilled to hear the news. She will be a regular on political discussions and analysis on Fox and host ongoing series of documentaries and political analysis.
The authors of the book Game Changer have revealed some damaging information on just about any politician involved in the 2009 campaign for the Presidency of the United States and in some respect has dishonored the process.
John Heileman of the New York magazine and Mark Halperin of Time magazine have turned the political scene upside down and they have left no one unscathed including Elizabeth Edwards, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and Harry Reid.
It would be difficult for anyone to interview with these two individuals again or speak to them after their book release has unearthed some personal struggles within both parties, the stress of the campaigns and how it affected politics.
Sarah Palin herself has decided to sign with the Fox Network and this was a smart move on her part however it does negate her negative comments of the “liberal media”. All media is not liberal and she can be ready to combat her critics on a national network any time she wishes to have a live feed to her people. Palin can compete with Katie Couric, James Carvel and also take some more shots at people like Steve Schmidt.
