The rationing of health care already exists in the US as President Obama has the support of doctors and health care providers for new health care reforms.
Procedures for health care services for heart disease, kidney, lung and stomach serious illnesses are already rationed to the American public. Although the US spends more of its expenditures on health care for important life saving treatments the cost for:
lyposuction, breast implants, plastic surgery and non-essential medical treatments are considered world class. Unfortunately these are the specialties where med students specialize in great numbers for the higher incomes of those specialties.
