April 17, 2010 A campaign to arrest the pope is underway during his visit to the UK where he has no immunity to international laws against child crimes. The Catholic religion has allowed criminal acts against children for decades but no one is above the law including the Pope. A United Nations judge is calling for the International Criminal Court to prosecute Pope Benedict for the international crimes against humanity.
Geoffrey Robertson published an article as a UN judge he states that the prosecution of the Pope can be the same as using the invocation of war criminals. The UN is also being held accountable for the corrupt manner in which the Catholic Church helped to hide criminal priests that they knowingly aided and abetted the priests from escaping justice and civil laws.
Will the Pope Finally be Arrested for Crimes against Children?
The Roman Catholic Church has consistently denied, hidden, detracted and mostly did not accept the responsibility in criminal acts brought forth in the past few months with a fury of cases from the victims. The Catholic Church also refuses to acknowledge and compensate all and each victim of sexual abuse by their own priests.
People are enraged around the world at the Catholic Church for refusing to accept responsibility but mostly for asking for peaceful forgiveness but the issues will not go away. There is definitely a campaign to deter the Church from escaping criminal prosecution and for the resolution to priests committing violent and vile acts against children.
Catholic Family and Human Rights
There is definitely a need for the Church to cleanse itself hopefully self-directed policy changes that would ensure not one more child should be a victim of sex crimes committed by a Catholic priest. The trust is badly broken and Catholics around the world are afraid to leave their children alone with members of the catholic clergy.
The Pope – Benedict will not be forced to bow down to pressure however and defies human decency and is not listening to his flock but is hiding under some false pretense that he is infallible and cannot make a mistake. But most of his mistakes were complete as an Arch-Bishop but he is hiding behind the false hope that he has the authority to rule himself innocent of all charges.
The crime of rape against children and concealing those crimes is against international laws. There is a plan to take the Pope under custody while he visits the United Kingdom. The Pope has no immunity to arrest because he is not a head of state, and even if he was to claim this it does not mean he can claim immunity to justice.
It is up to the governments of the world and the United Nations to enforce the law and one religious figure is not above the law of mankind. It is time to hold those accountable no matter if they are a CEO on Wall Street or a Pope -no man is above the law and must face justice here on earth and in the hereafter. It would be the beginning in restoring faith in our government and our institutions if justice were finally served up instead of denials and obstructions.
