Palin’s First Amendment Rights Violated by the Media

The Republican McCain campaign machine must have their heads spinning keeping up with the Sarah Palin cracks and gaffs in this election for the Presidency. On the radio in Washington Palin stated “if they convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations then I don’t know what the future of our country would be in terms of first amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by mainstream media”.
As Keith Olbermann points out to Sarah Palin the first amendment protects free speech by the media and the people from interference by the Government. It does not protect the government from the media.

You betcha that yet another Palinism is at the forefront as Palin thinks her first amendment rights are being violated by the media. Palin states that she feels she is not allowed to question Obama and the media is preventing her from her right under the First Amendment.  Unless Governor Palin is going to re-write the Constitution if elected, that is not what it was designed to do, which is to protect the Governor herself from controversy.

It is obvious she doesn’t know much about the Constitution but likes to quote from it often. Wonder if she has the same depth of knowledge of economics.  Recently she was quoted when speaking to some children in a school that the Vice President’s job is to run the Senate? One has to have some concerns about Sarah Palin ever stepping into the role of Vice President that she will run the Senate like a Totalitarian Dictator or worse yet a Communist. The fear comes when you think she could be a heartbeat away from the Presidency of the United States.
