Obama Slams McCain and Graham on Susan Rice

Nov. 14, 2012 In his first press conference after a landslide victory in the 2012 Election for his second term, President Obama slammed two republicans who are attacking the UN Ambassador Susan Rice.

Even though under George Bush’s two terms 7 US Embassies were attacked with no word of condemnation from either Lindsey Graham or John McCain.

President Obama is not the first President who has experienced attacks on US embassies during the last five Presidents there is a list of attacks on US Embassies dating back to Ronald Reagan:

US United Nations Ambassador: Susan Rice

McCain and Graham are attempting to make political use of the attacks on the US Embassy in Bengazi to attack the President and it is plainly obvious they are doing this in some distorted way of sour grapes for losing the election so badly.

President Obama Press News Conference November 14, 2012

Obama:

“Let me say specifically about Susan Rice: She has done exemplary work. She has represented the U.S. and our interests in the U.N. with skill and professionalism and toughness and grace,” said Mr. Obama. “If Senator McCain and Senator Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me. And I’m happy to have that discussion with them. But for them to go after the U.N. ambassador? Who had nothing to do with Benghazi? And was simply making a presentation based on intelligence that she had received? To besmirch her reputation is outrageous.” end quote

The two will also block any attempt for Susan Rice to be nominated for the Secretary of State after Hillary Clinton steps down.

The Republican senators. McCain, R-Ariz., and Graham, R-S.C., have been accusing Susan Rice of misleading the American people about the attack on the US Embassy on September 11, 2012 and promise to do everything in their power to block the nomination of Susan Rice.

There is no valid reason why Susan Rice cannot be accepted as Secty of State and she is in competition for the position with Sen. John Kerry, both equally are more than qualified.

The irony of the McCain attacks is that he picked Sarah Palin as his running mate, a women who showed herself to be unintelligent about the world, a dividing character that incited the Tea Party.

Susan Rice is not Implicated in the Forrestal Aircraft Explosion of 1973

John McCain should not be throwing rocks and calling for “Watergate Type Hearings” on Susan Rice when his own war records have not been fully investigated and have been sealed by the Navy.

An article from Mary Hershberger did do some investigating however, with information on the 1973 “accidental bombing” of a US aircraft the Forrestal where John McCain’s plane was implicated.

JOHN MCCAIN’S NAVY RECORDS ARE SEALED

For some reason, John McCain requested that his military records be sealed from the public because he was the son of a military man John S. McCain Sr., a four star US Navy Admiral his wish was granted from the Navy.

John McCain’s account of what happened on the Forrestal aircraft where a bomb that dropped from his own plane exploded and killed 134 US sailors in a fiery explosion on the deck of the aircraft is in question.

While the official report indicates no one person was responsible, it was thought that John McCain was responsible for dropping the bomb(s) from his own plane, which exploded after he panicked and accidentally pressed the wrong switch as some claim in their reports.

Quote: “Some of those who were on the Forrestal and other persons familiar with the ordnance told me that because the rocket did not hit McCain’s craft, only actions by the pilot could have caused any bomb to fall from McCain’s Skyhawk. These sources—who spoke under the condition that they not be publicly identified—agree with each other that, if any bomb fell from the McCain airplane, it was because of actions that he took either in error or panic upon seeing the fire on the deck or in his hasty exit from the plane. Two switches in the cockpit of a Skyhawk need to be thrown to drop such a bomb, according to the sources. “

Through various reports, John McCain ran away from his plane after the explosion and never bothered to go back as other brave men did to fight the fires caused by the explosion. Instead McCain ran to a fireproof room and watched the fire on a television screen.

John McCain claimed that a rocket, a Zuni rocket hit his plane and caused his bombs to fall on the deck which quickly ignited. However film and tape of the incident showed the Zuni rockets never hit McCain’s plane.

If there was any truth to the claims by John McCain on his heroism this proves he wasn’t such a great hero.  More on this story in future articles.

As John McCain now asks for a full investigation on Susan Rice the media may wish to question him on why he apparently lied about his account on the Forrestal tragedy that claimed 134 lives.
