If you listen to President Obama’s energy plan the green has turned to dark brown or black.
Obama’s energy policy consists of starting up off shore drilling and clean coal mentioned only weeks ago in his address to the nation. In his speech for the State of the Union address he must have disappointed many environmentalists when he backtracked on his promises. Obama indicated the three major causes of pollution to address the US energy needs.
Obama called for new safe nuclear power plants, offshore drilling and clean coal. All of these pillars are causing global warming and polluting the planet but this is his answer to global warming.
He also backs corporations like Monsanto -for giant bio-fuel farms to grow genetically modified corn and use it for bio-fuel. The choice of Obama’s secretary of Agriculture has corporate ties to Monsanto.
Still the US goes into debt by purchasing more oil from foreign countries and continues to bankrupt the country. Big oil has bought up Gov. Swartzenegger’s vote in California and he has allowed them to continue drilling without imposing taxes while accepting their campaign donations.
The democrats have not shown any energy efficiency policies other than tax credits on homeowners retrofitting and minor changes. Americans still drive their big SUV’s, trucks and cars polluting the environment. Municipal water is still dirty enough to require more chlorination which is a cancer causing agent.
Where is the policy Mr. President and where are the green jobs you promised? They are as obscure as the wind that powers T. Boone Pickens wind turbines of profit. The visions of Barrack Obama have become bogged down and unclear while the planet inches closer to a total global warming catastrophe of dire consequences.
While other countries such as Russia, China and Japan rush towards total energy efficiency the US is sinking under corporate control of the government’s policies and big oil is actually running the government.
Coal is neither clean nor efficient but deadly and a major cause of global warming. The more Barrack Obama talks the more you think your listening to George Bush again. In short Mr. Obama where did the person who promised clean energy disappear to and when is he coming back?
