I did not think that this summer time lull in news as I am sipping some lemonade, that I would be more worried about my tires today. Is Obama blowing smoke or is he really ticked about the tire thing?
I see tire pressure gauges are being handed out to the media by the Republicans, are they expecting a blow out in November?
John McCain-he's Just Not into You
This all has to do with Obama suggesting ways on improving, saving and generally giving us some tire tips which doesn’t hurt these days. Save a few bucks on the dollars going to Exxon.
I really have taken offense to the Republican joke on tire inflation, it really does work! Any car manufacturer or service center will advise you to keep your tires inflated properly for better wear and mileage. It happens to be true.
McCain would have done better to propose higher gas mileage standards to the car manufacturers. He would also get off the drill more oil stance that just buries the problem. Off shore drilling will not get us off the cocaine-like addiction to oil.
This addiction has to end and soon since it is strangling the economy.
The US has to keep its money revolving in its’ own country borders, not export it overseas and import more than it exports.There has been no beneficial trade agreement and relying on these external arrangements does nothing for our GNP.We produce less today and buy more from the wrong countries. So let’s get off the tire gauge and tires entirely boys and let’s come up with some real solutions to our energy problems. Like the fact that China is buying US companies that make solar panels. Yes, keep your eye on the prize, energy independence.
The McCain “get your motor runnin’” with a bunch of Harley riders – doesn’t really do the trick with voters.
