Thalidomide was a drug used in the 60’s over 50 years ago with disastrous consequences to pregnant mothers. It was developed by a German pharmaceutical company called Grunenthal in Stolberg Germany.
A report from Dr. Martin Johnson of the UK who is a director of the Thalidomide Trust had detailed evidence it was developed under a Nazi scientist in 1944 and used as an anti-dote to nerve gas. (Source: wikipedia-thalidomide).
Thalidomide Untested -Given to Pregnant Mothers
The drug which supposedly helped morning sickness was also advertised as a: -cure for insomnia, cough, cold, and headaches and a minor side effect of pregnancy.
The drug was given to millions of pregnant mothers in 46 countries without proof of its benefits or harm to the fetus was ignored by the German drug manufacturer. They obviously miscalculated this left over germ warfare antic dote.

Why so many pregnant women were duped, fooled and used as guinea pigs while the drug company in Germany reaped the profits from the sale of thalidomide.
It was thanks to the due diligence and perception of an Australian obstetrician that discovered the link of thalidomide and birth defects in short these babies were born without arms and other deformities.
In the United States the drug was taken off the shelf and after 8 years of a newspaper the pharmacologist Frances Kelsey had refuted the FDA approval and indicated that in the very least the drug needed more testing.
Today pregnant women are being targeted again for the untested and unproven Swine Flu Vaccine which holds particular danger to the unborn fetus.
The US Congress in 1962 passed laws which made testing mandatory before a pregnant woman could receive a drug. It has been omitted in 2009 due to drug company pressure on the US government. The drug thalidomide is still prescribed today although under strict conditions which is a disgrace and still lacks any human medical benefit.
Other side effects of thalidomide include deep vein clots, pulmonary oedema, pneumonia and hypotension. The worse side effect are the babies born deformed as you will see in this video. Some people are taking the matter to court for the purposeful marketing, and infection of the swine flu virus and those who promote this vaccine for profits and corruption. The US government and President Obama have been duped by the drug companies and these corporate demands of forcing every person to have the Swine Flu vaccine is against the Constitution.
The Swine Flu has been accelerated and forced onto the world by US and European drug makers. They have exceeded all forms of science and are practicing a dangerous form of mass genocide. The taxpayers have been footing the bill for corporations and the drug companies have a hand in this bank bailout on Wall Street.
The FDA is part of the government and is supposed to protect Americans health but instead are in a corrupt liaison with drug company’s of America.
Baxter Pharmaceuticals applied for the patent on Swine Flu vaccine one year before the outbreak in 2009 -does that seem a little odd to you? The spread of this flu bug is being lied about -the numbers are being manipulated and the deaths have underlying causes.
They are literally added any person who coughs as a “Swine Flu” victim. They are reporting all deaths if there person has the flu -as a swine flu death, this is all false information. Who is allowing this misleading of information? The government of the United States and all the other governments who are complying with this drug company control of the world.

Wow that couldn’t be much more wrong
Wow. You couln’t be more – less informed. If you weren’t born then and it sounds like you know nothing about the drug Thalidomide – you obviously have no business commenting about it. The birth defects were caused by the drug, and Pres. Kennedy put a stop to it after babies were born with no arms or legs and major deformities.
You do not give some drugs to pregnant mothers but it is okay to give them an “experimental vaccine? ”
This is hardly good science is it? I guess you haven’t read about the many women who have miscarried
since taking the swine flu shot? I guess you don’t know the facts and couldn’t be more wrong -because your

Drug company’s are misinforming the public about their untested swine vaccine, especially Baxter Drugs that applied for the patent one year before the outbreak, and they are responsible for releasing this virus. Where is our FTC, when is the Obama administration going to investigate this corrupt drug company and their release of the virus in Europe. We have to stop these corporate drug company’s of infecting people to prop up their profits. Pharmaceuticals are run by CEO’s that have lost their moral compass.
Shameful, disgusting drug company’s have no value in medicine other than making money for themselves.

Swine flu vaccines kill people. The vaccine is killing more people than the flu, and your articles are saving lives. People taking the vaccine are miscarrying babies, getting sick and will all get cancer from it.

Um, thalidomide was never approved for use in the United States prior to 1998. Get your facts straight.
Less than 20 children were born in the United States with thalidomide deformities, and these were from drug reps giving the drug to doctors while the FDA was busy not approving it for use.
You need to do some research Christine and it is obvious you are uninformed but perhaps being a pro-facist vaccine promoter there is no hope for your stupidity. Thalidomide was a science experiment in the 1960’s and was forced on pregnant women then as an “experiment” similar to the H1N1 Vaccine of today -it is an experiment. Any vaccine promoted with out scientific proof -of efficacy is a science experiment.
It is also apparent you did not read the article, go run along and read it again. It is the truth. Thalidomide is still being experiemented with only this time it is with leprosy instead of pregnant women. It is significant to note that even though a drug from the 60’s caused babies to be born with no arms or legs – the drug company’s still try to sell it 50 years later. They never give up do they?
Again you are wrong about the numbers of babies born without limbs due to thalidomide – they were put in institutions so that the drug exec’s would not have to encounter them. There were thousands of babies born in the United States with no arms, no legs, brain damage and it was a high risk to give it to pregnant mothers.
Furthermore, President Kennedy banned all experimental drugs be given to pregnant mothers – I see you skipped over that point.

I have to face uncertainty with the HPV vaccine to be given to my daughter at her school. Yes they have done testing and started vaccinating 2008 but I wonder the long term effect on these children when it is time for them to have babies..
Thalidomide was a major scare and I am concerned that the HPV vaccine will cause infertility and birth defects in children born to these young women.
First there is no scientific link between the HPV virus and cervical cancer this is not true nor has it been proven to be a direct link.
For the bad side effects read this: http://www.reverseagingclinic.com/?p=571 . Gardasil (known as the HPV vaccine) is very dangerous and has killed young teens. There have been no studies to prove it works against any cancer -this is a false claim, there is no vaccine that can make this claim legally or otherwise therefore you do not have to have it. If the school is demanding your daughter be vaccinated you need to contact your local state government and file a complaint, and get other parents to do this too. You have rights and the USA has become vaccine crazy – especially when it only benefits drug company’s and politicians who get campaign dollars from these corporations.
In New Zealand, India, Sri Lanka are stopping this HPV vaccine and demanding studies and proof -due to the deaths of their children. It is in your best interest and for the sake of your children to deny the school to override your rights.
The US government has become a partner with drug company’s due to lobbyists influence and you have to know that giving your daughter this vaccine will cause permanent harm and may cause her death. Do the research, get informed and stand up for your rights – you do have rights that are being denied in favor of drug company profits.
