It appears the day is dawning for the United States to join the human race an cover every man, woman and child in this country. It is also apparent that the forefathers that wrote the constitution also wrote in it " the right to life". It is the party that allows the deprivation of basic human health care which is morally evil and yet they are against abortions. You can't have it both ways.

I know it’s the way we do compromise nowadays, and even back in the 1850’s when politicians tried to find common ground on the evils of slavery, but the “GOP’s tricks of the trade of a massive campaign backed by the health insurance companies” to too much to bear. As I write millions of us are getting terrific jumps in our health care premiums and yet we the pubic are still swayed by ‘the doctor patient’ argument or the ‘socialism’ argument, as if we were not only being gouged now, but the specter of being endless gouged which lies before our children. When that day comes, and it will be soon, when you cannot afford health care because you were afraid of change, or didn’t want to be called a socialist, or whatever fear-mongering worked on you, that will be too late. We had a chance for universal health care, but gave into fear and soon you’re going to go broke.

Valid points NM.....very valid points. We care to bet that under the government's own health care plans enjoyed by Representatives and Senators -you will see that Viagra is covered under their health insurance plans.
Therefore erections are covered -but birth control is not? Only in a male dominated society does one see this -oh wait a minute -the Taliban also ban birth control don't they? Essentially abortions are banned, birth control is banned and when a single mom has the baby -its not covered under any health plan and the father walks away from all responsibilities? Yes we are still living in a male dominated society.

The Republicans did not vote on the bill so why should they dictate what it can cover? We also think President Obama should take some testosterone and get the stamina he needs -to fulfill his election campaign promises. The view many democrats have is that -he is trying to please Republicans rather than his own party. We do hope he gets something real fast.

Thanks for your comment

Good for passing the bill but how come the majority male bill signers left out funding for abortions. Are you aiming to lose my vote in the next election? I guess men decide for me my rights. While I pay for Viagra for the guys, I cannot get my birth control pills under my prescription drug plan. Wow!!
However it is about time we get serious about Health System reform, affordable and available care for all, and the inclusion
of preexisting conditions for all plans. Now lets look at adequate mental health coverage.
