Also Google will stop technical service supporting the two services for its local business partner Tianya.cn.

The statement from China is that it’s users do not welcome both of these Google services provided by the biggest search engine in the world.  However China did renew the ICP license granted to Google to continue its operations in the China market.  Again we see a protectionist attitude from China on allowing its citizens to have the freedom of viewing the world through the internet.  The Chinese government also found that Google’s re-direct to a Hong Kong site was unacceptable also.

In Islamabad the Pakistan PTA or Pakistan Telecommunication Authority under orders from the high court is putting sites on Google, MSN, Yahoo, Hotmail and 17 other websites under observations for the infridgment of Muslim sentiments.

There seems to be a trend to block the search engines that Pakistan citizens can access which is  a very dangerous blow to the freedoms enjoyed by these countries.  The High Court in Pakistan also required the blocking of YouTube and with it eight other sites and threatened to take strict measures on infringing Muslim sentiments.

Google has bigger worries like facebook becoming it’s own search engine, not a bad prospect in giving Google some needed competition. Too big to be humble.
