Hours ago at 1:30 p.m in Texas soldiers have been put in lock down at Fort Hood when gunmen attacked and killed 9 persons at Fort Hood which was a military style attack. Rep. John Carter reports that dozens are wounded in Fort Hood attack in Texas in two separate attacks.
It is unknown that the gunmen were actually military soldiers or impersonators with army uniforms and some shooters are in custody. Another shooter could still be lose on the Army base and could still be in the Howze theater and the soldier preparation center where soldiers where men will be before they are deployed again to Iraq and Afghanastan.
Fort Hood is near Kileen Texas and is one of the biggest home bases for the army and home to 80,000 to 100,000 troups and is 355 square miles in size. The last shooting was in 1991 where 24 people were killed and 20 wounded. Helicopters and emergency vehicles are on the scene and the situation is still ongoing. This could have been an attack from terrorists or an internal attack from US soldiers who were preparing to go back to the Middle East wars.
President Obama is about to make a statement and his military advisors have keep him up to date on this shootings at Fort Hood which remains in lockdown.
500 Soldiers have surround the base to do a clean sweep and investigation tactics are underway.
One gunman is in custody at this time.
