Fox has Parkinson’s Disease and have for the last 8 years lobbied government to hasten stem cell research of any kind that would benefit people and save lives.
There are more than 100 diseases that can be cured or complete reversed by embryonic stem cell application especially in children and older adults.
Update: May 30, 2010 Although President Obama approved stem cell research he is only funding one area, which is embryonic however adult stem cells are far more successful for heart patients, COPD, arthritis and many other debilitating diseases. It appears now a year and a half after he took office that Obama’s plan is narrow minded and will prove to be a waste of money. Embryonic stem cells have rejection factors that adult stem cells do not because they are taken from a person’s own body.
By far ASC’s are far more successful in healing and curing most diseases but no progress has been made to date. In fact pharmaceuticals are buying up stem cell research companies to own the industry so they can profit from the new technology and add drugs to the mix. No progress has been made to cure diseases and Americans have to travel to other countries to obtain treatments.
