Dec. 23, 2010 Election 2012 – The PlayersAs 2010 draws to a close and the 2012 Presidential looms on the horizon, the key players are emerging from Fox News staffers. Mainly Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee,
Iowa Blogs and Iowa Radio -Pulsing the 2012 Election
The major player of the Tea Party-GOP wing is undoubtedly Sarah Palin but can she carry the banner in 2012 to the finish line or hand the baton over to a more conservative hopeful Mike Huckabee.
Palin has been to Iowa many times and continues to visit Iowa on book tours (a disguised political campaign stop). Palin was in Walmart on December 2, 2010 in Des Moines signing her book America by Heart an obvious appeal to the heartland hockey mom voters of Iowa.
Importance of Iowa Political Blogs
Political blogs are not run by the major media corporate news networks and will go places that are banished in main stream media guidelines. Political blogs from Iowa offer more insight on local levels of how the nation is thinking, digesting the power plays by both parties and the third party the Tea Party movement.
Blogs from Iowa are being studied intensely by the networks, both Republican and Democrat leaders, as well talk radio programs and forums where candidates are attempting to shift public awareness for a chance to win in 2012.
The Des Moines National Register website has been getting plenty of hits and their stories often copy and pasted in national news networks is redundant duplication. As all candidates from the three political forces, attempt to brand themselves to create an identity on issues both left and right will be doing interviews with political bloggers.
As Sarah Palin continues to drop hints as she did on the Barbara Walters interview that she believes she can beat Obama in a Presidential race is a far racier headline than the 2008 campaign of a hockey mom. Palin has dropped that moniker for an edgy stabbing at her political opponent the President and now Michelle Obama.
On her Alaska Reality Show Palin uses such blazing hot topics such as “should you follow healthy food guidelines or feed your kids s’mores” really captured the attention of the nation.
As four major pieces of legislation passed this week: Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, the Start Arms Treaty with Russia, The Bush Tax Cuts and health care for the 9/11 Responders -she remained deafly silent.
It is quite possible she has been so muzzled by the GOP Palin often now ignores the major issues, while her handlers devising methods of subliminal messages using a strategy of comical stances on the non issues. All in all, it provides political bloggers with a happy fresh supply of humorous content to write about in daily columns.
Does Sarah Palin have a Prayer to become President in 2012?
Is Sarah Palin a Pretender or a Contender in the 2012 Presidential Election and how far will the GOP go to stop her is the major question.
Palin frequently flies to Iowa disguising her trips as a book signing campaign stop (tax write off) and Gov. elect Terry Branstad’s tip of the day is to “visit every county, work hard and listen to people” in Iowa.
Gov. Branstad hasn’t been wrong in over 30 years in politics and winning six tickets as a career politician he has escaped the “incumbent clause” in the Tea Party mantra. Many candidate players are following his suggestions and will comb Iowa in the next 18 months leading up to the election.
What other GOP Candidates has a shot in the 2012 Presidential Election?
The Potential GOP Candidates for the 2012 Presidential Election are:
Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Haley Barbour, Tim Pawlenty, Newt Gingrich, Mitch Daniels, Mike Pence, Rick Santorum, John Thune, and a pretender Sarah Palin. The question is who would make the independents, swing voters want to switch back to the Republican GOP Tea Party inclusive of all its baggage?
What key issues would cause a shift back to the deregulation, war mongering of the past 8 years? Which issue stands out as the key to winning the GOP candidates bidding to occupy the Whitehouse and will the country go backwards or forward with a badly damaged economy?
There is no doubt that the 2012 Presidential campaigns have already begun to swing into action but currently voters are on edge and may still be looking for jobs, losing their homes to foreclosure attacks while trying to put food on the table.
Today’s polls put President Obama as winning against all potential GOP candidates and he has for the most part survived a maddening, opposition to any policies he attempted in his campaign for change in the last two years. The GOP has done damage to itself as the party of no which was a mistake.
The Iowa caucuses scheduled for February 6, 2012 which is only 11 months away will be the kickoff to the 2012 US Presidential Election and will serve as the first indicator of winners and losers in the players field for the GOP nomination.
The Republicans Bashing Republicans of 2010 has died down partially after Carl Rove announced Palin and O’Donnell don’t have the right stuff to lead the GOP.
Mitt Romney has become a hushed up, backroom candidate that quite possible will be springing into the players group very soon. Time will tell his chances this time around after his loss in 2008 to John McCain the politics of old won that round.
