11.4 Billion dollars from Lipator and doctors are calling for real doctors to be shown in drug TV ads instead of actors and imposters who supposedly took the drug being advertised. Doctors are saying the ads may be doing more harm than good in their commercial TV campaign such as Lipator.
The American Medical Association conference called for changes in drug advertising because people are asking for a drug they saw on television and demanding a prescription even though the medicine may not be for their condition.
Doctors indicated there should be a moratorium on drug ads before doctors are educated on the drug. It proves that big pharma is just pushing pills on the market and in front of the consumer before the FTC can stop them.
No other industry is allowed to advertise a drug using actors, actresses and stand in bodies instead of actual doctors and patients. The new rules of the FTC as they apply to the internet should apply to the drug company ads on television national networks and local television broadcasts.
The Sally Field type ads for Fosimax which is known to destroy your jaw bone have to stop if not for our memories of the Flying Nun that are just too pure for drug commericals.

this is a great idea. i mean if they weren’t spending money on ads, they could have cheaper products and just help people who needed the product for cheaper.
If drug company’s had any intelligence -they would produce drugs that worked -by infecting people with viruses-they are producing
a whole new generation of sick children that will need life time care. This is their goal in life. Drugs never treat the disease-only the symptoms therefore you have an evolving disease forever without ever a cure. The sole objective of a drug company is : PROFIT.
