NBC’s major screw up has cost them one of the best night time entertainers in the business as Conan O’Brien calls it quits with NBC and their major mistakes in late night show scheduling causing huge problems.
Whomever is running NBC network is damaging the viewers faith and the audience numbers will dwindle therefore some heads must roll. Conan in a statement said good bye today and he can spend his 80 million dollars sitting on a beach and getting a tan.
He wrote his statement as such entitled : People of Earth:
So it has come to this: I cannot express in words how much I enjoy hosting this program and what an enormous personal disappointment it is for me to consider losing it. My staff and I have worked unbelievably hard and we are very proud of our contribution to the legacy of The Tonight Show. But I cannot participate in what I honestly believe is its destruction.
O’Brien said he will not do the show at 11:30 a.m., and has slammed NBC executives with a major problem -who will fill his shoes? This pushed back the other shows slotted in their regular scheduled time, and the Tonight Show would air at 12: 00 a.m, which is actually the Tomorrow Show.
No one can make heads or tales of what NBC is doing to damage their own network but CBS and NBC are in tears laughing at the whole situation caused by network executives. This is the biggest mistake made on television in a decade!
The industry is reeling from the news that Conan Quit NBC and they can’t blame the guy. Leno has stayed quiet on the whole situation and his new time slot is a half hour show at 11:30 p.m.
Jay Leno is really not doing himself any favors by sticking with NBC -anything for a paycheck. Conan said on last night’s show – NBC is expecting to lose 200 million dollars on the winter olympics.
Too bad they don’t lose their top executives. NBC has spiraled into a company that promotes drugs on their commercial spots, junk foods, drugs and other false information on the Swine Flu vaccine has made them the laughing stock of television. Affectionately we call NBC – The Morning Drug Cartel Network and on their evening news show you can view drug ads over and over again. Perhaps these executives are on drugs because they sure know how to drive a network into the ground six ways to Sunday.
Johnny Carson will be turning in his grave and Ed McMahon would be appalled.
