A real interview took place on the Larry King Live show as he interviewed Suzanne Somers including discussions of her new book “Knockout”.
Larry the old pro at least allowed Suzanne to speak her truth about how she was recently mis-diagnosed by none other than 6 astute specialist doctors that she has full blown -all body-everywhere cancer from head to toe in a hospital in California.
The difference in this interview is that Suzanne was not given just two minutes to respond and cut off before she could describe how she was misdiagnosed as she was in the Ann Curry interview on NBC’s Today show on Monday.
How on earth could she be so brave as to withstand six doctors advising her to get her affairs in order? How devastating that must have been as it is with all cancer news that paralyzes your brain and you are in shock.
In November 2008 Somers was rushed to the hospital with symptoms of failed breathing and was in anapalactic shock, she had welts which was obviously an allergic reaction to something she drank or ate at a restaurant.
Many people have experience this and it is surprising that she had either food poisoning and was allergic to that poison.
In the emergency she was given oxygen and many pharma drugs and doctors ordered a CAT Scan. She was removed from the CAT scan room and a doctor told her she had:
A mass on her lung
it looks like the cancer has metastasized into your liver
We do not know what is wrong with your liver
It is so enlarged it is covering your entire abdomen
You have so many tumors in your chest we can’t count them
They all have masses in them
And you have a blood clot
And you have pneumonia
We going to check you into the hospital because the blood clot alone will kill you.
Days before Somers had her immune system tested which was a 43 and is easily done by testing the killer cells in the blood. This is a basic blood test but medical doctors do not do it and you will read later on that one doctor does not know what this test level meant. It can tell you how strong your immune system really is however it seems from the medical community you don’t have one that works so they sell you vaccines.
Somers thought she would have a heart attack with the news and the oncologist walks in and tells her she has cancer and he said “ We have never seen so much cancer”. The doctor wanted to start her on chemotherapy as she did not agree he told her to get her affairs in order.
A few hours later the lung cancer doctor comes in and tells her she has lung cancer and it has metastasized throughout your body. The radiologist in the ER told her she had cancer, the surgeon came in and told her she had cancer.
It was “Shock and Awe” for Somers as she cried with her son and husband and she could not think that everything was going to be okay. She thought she only had two months to live and even her husband believed she was going to die.
Six doctors over six days said she was going to die and they were all wrong. Somers saw her death which is a spiritual awakening and a voice said:
Dr. Stanislauw Burzynski Cures Cancer
“Its not who you are -its not what you have and its not what you do-its only about who you love and who loves you”. She felt gratitude and wanted to live which was.
The doctors wanted to do surgery -they cut open her throat and took a biopsy of the throat and her lung and she woke up to hear “ you don’t have any cancer anywhere”. The thoughts of her having cancer did not leave her and the four more doctors came back a second time and said we think you have:
Tuberculosis
Leprosy
An infectious disease
Or meningitis which brings on dementia
So you are now a threat to the community so they put her in isolation where her germs would be destroyed into the atmosphere. The doctors would not let her leave for 2 to 4 weeks. She wanted out of hospital and pulled out her IV’s and agreed to be quarantined, the leprosy medicine would make her sweat blood. It was either the wine or the salad that was giving her a poisonous allergic reaction although the doctors told her it was not an allergy. The most probably cause was a fungus and her reaction to that fungus.
This does not explain why the doctors with their CAT Scan, blood tests and all the modern medicine could not even properly diagnose her symptoms.
Since she started to write the book 27 people she knew died of cancer and she knows that cancer is an epidemic.
About Patrick Swayne she apologized but the comment was said at the time that she was going through her hospital horror story of what is wrong with modern medicine today.
Somers goes on to say chemo therapy does not work for some cancers and it only works in some instances:
Three types of cancers respond leukemia, lymphoma or testicular cancers respond to chemotherapy but others like -breast, lung, brain, bone, colon and other cancers are not cured or helped by chemotherapy.
Larry King introduced Dr. Stanislaus Burzynski and Dr. Nicolas Gonzales
Dr Otis Brawley of the American Cancer Society and Dr. Keith Black a scientist were introduced and Brawley said some of the things she said didn’t make sense to him. Brawley did not comment on what happened to her in the hospital other than he was sorry. He promoted conventional medicine indicating those who don’t get conventional medical care die.
Dr. Gonzalez indicated the certain cancers that have been treated by chemotherapy is not beneficial in the majority of cancer.
Dr. Black indicates that they are working on cancer vaccines and stem cells but this is not true because stem cell therapy is being put on hold by the FDA.
Dr. Black said conventional medicine is approved and alternative medicines are not approved. That is the choices that the FDA and drug company’s make for us.
Dr. Brawley did indicate that some patients are getting chemotherapy that are should not receive it. Dr. Brawley seemed to talk only of latter stages of cancer and how chemo is used in a palliative treatment for dying patients.
Somers talked to 10 patients who she interviewed in her book that have been cured from cancer including brain cancer.
The two conventional doctors say they integrate approaches with alternative medicine and they are not against alternative medicine.
Gonzales stated that although chemo has worked in some cases can extend life although it is ultimately not curative.
The doctors talked of alternative medicine only in terms of “nutritional approaches and they seemed to lack the knowledge of peptides or other cancer treatments that do cure cancer.
Dr. Brawley stated that patients that took DDI for aids did poorly when they added Vitamin C, so it seems Dr. Brawley doesn’t approve of vitamin therapy.
Dr. Burzynski is in phase 2 clinical trials and is now starting phase 3 clinical therapy. Somers says if chemotherapy worked why then are millions of people dying of cancer.
Dr. Burzynski has identified genes that promote cancer and those that kill cancer. Dr. Black denies that this therapy works, his papers do not scientifically prove any cures after 8,000 patients. Dr. Keith Black said he had one patient who died who had gone to Dr. Burzynski but Black fails to mention what stage of cancer the person had or the circumstances and was antidotal information at best. At every turn the conversation that Larry King tried to have with these two conventional medicine doctors they were negative in their responses to questions as to why they refuse to study Dr. Burzynski treatments or Dr. Gonzales studies.
It appeared as though Brawley and Black thought they owned the rights to a cure for cancer as they refused to acknowledge that alternative doctors had and were curing cancer.
Dr. Brawley’s assumption that cancer patients are desperate and this is true they are desperate for a cure for cancer and not therapies that do not work. What he is saying is that desperate people seek alternative medicine and this is simply not true. In fact millions of perfectly healthy people take alternative medicines and have the right to do so. Dr. Brawley seemed to think he had to approve of these therapies himself and that is what is wrong with conventional medicine their policy is that they are have the “authority” to approve or disapprove of other therapies whether they believe them to work or not. Most likely it is they do not approve other therapies (alternative therapies) because of other reasons mainly financial profits of the drug company’s that make chemotherapy drugs. As Somers indicates it is a big 200 billion dollar industry.
Dr. Burzynski retorted to Dr. Brawley’s statements that he has:
conducted 12 Phase 2 Clinical Trials under state supervision and has cured brain tumors with longer lifespan results. Dr. Burzynski received a patient from Dr. Black who was cured with a brain tumor.
Dr. Gonzales pointed out bone marrow transplants for women with met static breast cancer conducted by conventional medicine doctors over 40,000 of them 10 to 30 percent died during the procedure. The cost was
$450,000 and doctors made money as well as the hospitals. This standard of therapy proved to be useless after expensive clinical trials that had no benefit.
King stated that everyone knows that entrenched medicine will never change or accept alternative medicine because it is married to chemotherapy.
The battle between alternative medicine and pharmaceutical company heads that has been waging for decades must come to a grinding halt and through the efforts of people like Suzanne Somers we can finally all get along.
Larry King did do a round table inclusion of all sides of the cancer wars controversy however it is not the war against cancer that is being fought so whole heartedly by the cancer industry. The war primarily is between alternative medicine that have undergone clinical trials by Dr. Burzynski and the FDA who are trying to shut the man down. In a freedom loving society like the US pretends to be, one should have choices and those choices must be respected especially in terms of one’s health and life.
Just this week the FDA sent a threatening letter to the very respected Dr. Weil for talking about a herb called Astragalus in relation to how it can help with the flu, because they are so protective of their swine flu vaccine.
There is a basic fear now that any supplement, any vitamin and any herb cannot be advertised in relation to the words: flu, cold, virus or swine flu and especially the swine flu. The FDA controls everything except drugs that seem to get approved quickly and without testing, yet alternative medicines are made to go through ‘hoops’ to prove themselves and cannot make any description about their products that are not proven. Yet drugs get approvals without further testing that the drug company’s that make and profit from the substances.
Another doctor who claimed Dr. Bersynski’s treatments were not based on scientific fact says there is no evidence although thousands of patients of alternative medicine say otherwise.
Although Dr. Berskyski is in clinical trials currently and proving to the FDA that his therapies work they could be hung up in approvals for years to come.
By the responses from Dr. Black and Dr. Brawley it did not seem likely that the medical community which does not have a cure for cancer, would not likely truly seek a cure for the disease because it would put them out of business.
The line that most appropriately describes this interview which seemed appropriate is from a movie called “Heaven Can Wait”. In the movie a young football player has an accident and an eager angel decides to take him to heaven before the outcome of the accident. The football player claims the angel made a mistake and wants to return to earth to complete his football career but his body is cremated. The head angel played by James Mason says:
“The likelihood of one individual being right increases in proportion to how much others try to prove him wrong.” James Mason, 1978, The Movie, Heaven Can Wait.
It is likely that Dr. Brysznski is right but by the compelling number of opposition he faces in his quest for a cure to cancer- there are too many who are willing to prove him wrong.

Thanks for the summary. I am a nutritionist (UC, Clinical Nutrition BS). And I say let us work together and help the masses to see alternative medicine can work. They are tired of failure and they do want another solution. There is more money in drugs than apples and people don’t know the power of food. Awareness can get us out of this disaster. We spend too much money on failure (surgery, chemo) and need to invest more in diet therapy for patients and nutrition education for all (public schools) that is the answer.
Totally agree-chemotherapy has had its day as the doctors who are intent on curing cancer indicated in the interview it does not work for the majority of cases of cancer. A cancer patient given a carcinogen to cure cancer is not scientifically based and destroying the immune system has surely cost millions of lives. The time for science experiments is over as there people are as you indicated tired of the failures of modern medicine using ancient methods to cure cancer. It is people like Somers who are standing up against this corporate take over of medicine and doctors are joining in this movement. We demand and expect better of the US government that is in the financial control of drug makers. The corruption has to stop now.

The “War on Cancer” is ridiculous–there was only 1 in 22 who died of cancer in the early 70’s when the “war” started. Now there are 1 in 2.5 who die of it!!! Wake up! We need to let our people be free to seek their own food and treatments! Is disbanding the FDA and the USDA the answer? Replace them with an information only system–info on the way a food was grown, stored, and shipped (specifics from when, where, how, how old, mold levels, etc.). Provide funding for labs to do tests and post the results in a public place. People, we are in an EPIDEMIC of chronic degenerative diseases! You have to WORK hard to get these things, it takes a long time to BUY these DISEASES through lifestyle. It is not a one-cause situation, like just eating peanuts, but moldy peanuts which is most of them) may be a big part of the cause. And now Big Ag, under the guise of protecting the small farmer, wants to do things like change Ohio’s state constitution to assure the redefining of “small farms” into small Confined Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) which feed animals the cheapest food and require them to be in a confined area so that they can have only one ID chip (NAIS). This will increase cancer and other disease that you people experience, as I am getting healthier as the decades roll by. Have fun!
Suzanne Somers is a fighter and a survivor. I think she is a lot more intellligent than many give her credit for. I applaud her for standing up for her own believes.

Oops! Dr. Brawley revealed the truth about conventional cancer treatments and who are the real charlatans. He clearly stated that doctors are “afraid” to tell patients they are dying and hence treat with chemotherapy. Is this not the ultimate confession? An entire industry is bilking those dying of cancer and bilking insurance companies for snake oil. I doubt that the arrogant doctor even realizes that while he was attempting to discredit Dr. Burzynski he exposed the cancer industry for what is really is…just one more corrupt machine. Dr. Black was equally outrageous in the intentional disrespect of Dr. Burzynski by mispronouncing his name. Surely an eminent “scientist” is capable of better. It was sadly amusing and reminiscent of the cartoons my children watched when they were young, by CNN’s designation of Dr. Black as a “scientist”. What does that mean, exactly? It is a rather broad term. Dr. Burzynski is a biochemist, but what kind of “scientist” is Dr. Black? In the summer of 2008, my daughter a third year medical student had the opportunity to attend a pharmaceutical presentation. She was stunned when it was actually stated by the company, they they are NOT looking for a cure, but rather, to make the patients as comfortable as possible. The entire industry is too arrogant and too confident to realize that we don’t have to read between the lines. We have only to hear their confessions. Suzanne Somers is to be commended for her courage and feistiness. She is up against one of the ultimate machines.
Yes he did let that point slip out and it was very revealing that Brawley admitted they give chemo to patients for palliative care-as if they are useless to save or cure. Very shocking attitude coming from a medical doctor but that is their policy. The prescribing of chemo to a patient who is already fighting cancer is a death sentence and the chemo actually speeds up death.
The cancer industry is indeed corrupt and for a profit organization it has controlled the politicians and that is what must stop. The medical doctors were very disrespectful and tried to discredit Dr. Burzynski and his data which proves cancer can be cured.
Suzanne Somers is to be commended for taking on this monumental task -it shows -you do not mess with a breast cancer patient. Interesting also that the drug Company Wyeth has been blocking, fighting and not admitting that their drug Prempro-Premarin which is a hormone replacement drug which caused breast cancer are fighting breast cancer drug victims in court. Wyeth did not do the testing or studies to prove their drug was safe and due to the type of estrogen they used in their drug it actually caused cancer for women.
This drug company Wyeth – is preventing liability law suits and not accepting responsibility for the many women who have died from HRT drugs. These drug company’s are dispicable examples of what is wrong with modern medicine today and they are lousy excuses for human beings.
The time for ethics, responsibility and truth must come out -we need more anger in this world -and direct it towards those who are responsible for this greedy profit driven machine that prolongs cancer -they have no intention of curing the disease.
Women be very much aware that any drugs you take will most likely cause cancer to grow in one way or another. The swine vaccine for instance is a vaccine that will cause cancer and much permanent harm to the human body. Experimental drugs were banned in the
1960’s after the thalidomide disaster where babies were born with no arms. Any pregnant woman taking this swine vaccine is risking great damage to her fetus. Stop this vaccine madness.

Suzanne Somers, Thank-you. This is a big turning point in our history. It is time now for all forms of healing arts to be allotted the authority and respect they and the public have justly earned.
You can say that again, we all support a complete overhaul of President Obama’s health care reform -first he has to reform the FDA, CDC, NIH and yes the Department of Agriculture who are genetically modifying our food. Well that takes care of most of the corruption in the US government. It all has to do with campaign contributions.

I was diagnosed w breast cancer august 2008….I am way into natural, healthy do it yourself,I allowed a crippling element to come into my life….fear. I did fine for a few months but the Doctors and those around you,who truly are concerned and fighting their own thoughts can break down your faith if you allow them to.
I was improving constantly with prayer,diet,mind changes and joy. I would have been completely cured if I had not allowed fear and given into what came with it.
I did have a left side masectomy,and then chemo until I realized it was killing me.When I could no longer navigate to go up or down,no matter what my brain was telling my body…they could not communicate and the endless amount of drugs you are on,always messing with everything in you.When I became so weak,so confused I got on my knees and asked God to show me the way….I stopped chemo I refused radiation and I got better….God is faithful,and never ever ever leaves us or forsakes us. He is the answer. Nutrition is so important,joy instead of stress,laughter instead of worry,and making what is truly important —the most important in your life. Love others,help each other, focus on all that is good and put your hope in God. Thank you so much Suzanne for standing up against the tide of acceptance…we need to stop rallying Race for the Cure and actually embrace the cure that is not accepted in our country yet because of the mega bucks invoved in this industry. OH ya money in cancer is HUGE!!!!

Our lives and our health are worth more than we are being offered by modern medicine today. Further not one medical or pharmacological treatment can claim they have a patent on curing cancer. Therefore they cannot stop, force, or prevent alternative doctors from being successful in healing and curing human life from this disorder.

Where can I find out how many of Burzynski’s patients have died of cancer after receivng his treatment?
There are not any -or the list would have been provided. Why is so difficult to understand for you -that there is a cure for cancer.
Are you stating that more people are healed by chemotherapy that is proven not to work on the majority of cancers?
Are you defending chemotherapy and where are your numbers, where is your proof? More people die from the chemotherapy than from cancer.
Do your research.
It was interesting on CNN that the chief medical officer in the debate said that they only use chemo for palliative care- meaning they give up on you if you have cancer.

In truth the person with “cancer” is dying and is in denial they are dying. If they say they can “beat it” they are simply being hopeful. Hope abides as does love and faith as said the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 13.
But if God doesn’t heal you you will die.
He alone gives life and he takes it. Billions of dollars spent to find a so called cure. But there is no cure for death.
All this cancer death is because of the garbage people eat.
People eat their own poison when they consume the poisons that destroy the body.
Cancer is not a death sentence as you believe Rebecka -you have been fed a defeatist attitude by the medical cancer industry. Many people have cured cancer -in all stages and all types. Your post refers to the bible as a medical reference point which you neglected to mention depending on what man made translation you are referring to, also says ” God gave us all that we need” to heal ourselves.
There are thousands of people that have reversed and cured their own cancer without chemo drugs, without radiation and without more cancer causing drugs. Suzanne Somers is one of them – you should read her book to gain some knowledge.
Why leave it up to a drug company or a doctor to determine your fate. Adding poisons from vaccines or chemicals from drugs that cause cancer is simple stupidity and your welcomed to take as many as you wish, but they will never be forced by mandated law in a democracy. You need to read more than the Bible. You missed this quote from the bible:
23Jesus said to them, “Surely you will quote this proverb to me: ‘Physician, heal yourself! Do here in your hometown what we have heard that you did in Capernaum.’”

Amen on taking responsibility for your own health and following what you recognize as truth that will heal and not kill you. I allowed chemotherapy and other poisonous prescribed medications to almost strip me of my common sense and my own metaphysical beliefs. As our energy bodies are brought into alignment with harmony, balance and confidence we can heal ourselves of the erroneous thinking, poisonous diet, etc. that brought on the destructive influence of cancer.
Let’s face it, pharmaceutical companies,arrogant western MDs who are trained not to “heal” but to enslave, are forever fighting to hold on to their enormous profits and inflated egos.
Find a healer… someone who listens, who touches, who believes she is simply part of the process intended to uplift and restore balance without corrupting the injured spirit of the client who comes seeking wisdom, not poisons. We must demand this for ourselves. It’s not an alternative approach. It’s common sense, self love and often ancient ways of caring for body, mind and spirit.
True and modern medicine if you can call it that, have had the last 100 years to cure cancer, obviously there is a cure in fact there are many cures for cancers, its all about the money. We the collective we as in the whole population have to all join forces, vote these bums out who take campaign contributions from corporations and get them out of office as soon as possible. We have to vote in unknowns who are not tainted by corruption, and who have had background checks to ensure a corporation isn’t paying their families.
Only then can we get rid of the complacent career politicians in the government.
