Bush gets hit with both shoes from an Iraqi reporter during his last surprise tour of Bagdad and in front of the cameras and media. Bush’s quick reflexes dodged the shoe attack not once but twice, he ducked as secret service men went rushing to his aid.
The lone reporter left the room shoeless as he was being carried out by police. In that culture to have shoes thrown at you is the ultimate insult. Bush remarked that it didn’t bother him because it was like someone yelling at you or giving you a finger gesture.
