Employee Petition for Wal-Mart CEO to Resign

A Wal-Mart employee has started an online petition to “Clean House” at Wal-Mart’s top elite CEO’s in light of criminal charges of: Bribery, concealing evidence and stopping an internal investigation by the store management itself.

Petition to Force CEO of Wal-Mart To Resign

The Department of Justice has been sitting on the evidence since December 2011, the Comptroller of Mexico has opened an investigation on 24 million dollars used to bribe Mexico officials to speed up building permits for WalMex the new chain of stores for Wal-Mart’s expansion into Mexico’s retail market.

The deli manager at Wal-Mart store in Pico Rivera California had more than 4.300 signatures today, and wants the company CEO Mr. Mike Duke to resign, the Chairman S. Robson Walton and a thorough investigation “independent” of the store or it’s affiliates to be conducted by an outside organization. Luna’s statement:
“Nobody should get away with bribery, and they should be held accountable for that”.

Ms. Luna is from Mexico and a member of OUR Walmart – Organization United for Respect at Wal-Mart who’s aim it is to improve conditions for the workers of the giant retail store.

Wal-Mart has brought in a very high level army of lawyers, accountants and sophisticated assistance to fight the charges. The Department of Justice has not filed any charges up until today.

Apparently, Mr. Duke was well aware of the internal investigation since his 2005 commencement as the company’s CEO.

Another group the UFCWIU – United Food and Commercial Workers International Union President Joe Hansen demanded the same of Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart’s shares WALMEXV.MX dropped in the past several days since the news of the scandal was revealed.

CISPA Bill Passes House

The House of Representatives passed the CISPA Bill despite objections of internet providers, largely those who are ill informed with the wrong intelligence about the internet. The bill’s sponsor is republican Mike Rogers who is lobbying for corporate interests with this bill which invades privacy rights of individual citizens and hands over their information to private corporations like Facebook.

The Obama administration has vowed to veto the bill if it should pass the Senate before the election.

Mostly unpopular by internet major companies like Google, Twitter and other internet providers CISPA will put the government and unnamed security companies and corporations in the business of invading privacy. Critics like the Center for Democracy and Technology said the bill is in such flawed form and under “such a flawed process”.  The ACLU’s Michelle Richardson stated “CISPA goes too far for little reason”.

Largely the 100 supporters in both parties are paid to pass this bill, through campaign contributions and after all it is an election year where politicians are doing what they are told. Companies such as: AT &T, Time Warner cable, SAIC and Lockheed Martin and Facebook all support the bill.
According to the Open Secrets website, Mike Roger’s PAC received $ 103,000 from the 12 companies that support CISPA, a pay for a politician plan that makes Congress so corrupted in it’s legislation.
An obsession to invade privacy has been a recurring theme in this session of Congress, backed by corporate interests which prompted the passage of CISPA the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act in the House late last night.
The vote was 248 for and 168 against, for a bill that shares private citizen information between government and private business corporations on communications. The government currently has cyber security in place and bills like SOPA, PIPA, ACTA already have clauses that control cyber attacks many times over repeated in different bills.
With the passage on the House floor before the vote, Rogers said the bill was about preventing other nations from “stealing intellectual property from U.S. companies.”
The Cyber Kings-work for Corporate Interests not Citizen Privacy Mike Rogers
“You know, without our ideas, without our innovation that countries like China are stealing every single day, we will cease to be a great nation,” However foolish Mr Rogers is on truly masking the intent of this bill which is to invade privacy, establish control of people’s usage, spying and cutting off free speech the bill is an intrusive piece similar to China’s repression of internet usage.

What exactly is CISPA?

The act, sponsored Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., and Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger, D-Md., would make it easier for private corporations and U.S. agencies, including military and intelligence, to share information related to “cyber threats.” In theory, this would enable the government and companies to keep up-to-date on security risks and protect themselves more efficiently. CISPA would amend the National Security Act of 1947, which currently contains no reference to cyber security. Companies wouldn’t be required to share any data. They would just be allowed to do so.

Why should I care?

CISPA could enable companies like Facebook and Twitter, as well as Internet service providers, to share your personal information with the National Security Agency and the CIA, as long as that information is deemed to pertain to a cyber threat or to national security….More at Is CISPA SOPA 2.0? We Explain the Cybersecurity Bill

CISPA represents the 5th bill dealing with control of and censorship of the internet without one jobs bill passed since the 2010 mid-term elections.

Romney to Fire Bernanke Not the Fed

Mitt Romney maybe reaching out to Ron Paul’s voters in a way, when he said he would boot Ben Bernanke the Chairman of the Federal Reserve if he is elected President. But would that change the economic crisis of printing too much paper money without the backing of the gold standard.

In many statements given on the campaign trail Romney claims he would pick his own choice for Federal Reserve Chairman but it sounds like Bernanke would be out of a job. But then again, Romney said in the past that Ben was doing a good job in the Federal Reserve, again another flip flop.

Ben Bernanke -Federal Reserve

Romney did not say he would get rid of the Reserve, only appoint someone different from Wall Street no doubt. If that is a half way compromise to Ron Paul voters, it fails to excite them. Ron Paul has always maintained that the US must return to the gold standard for monetary policy instead of just printing more paper money.

The gold standard provides the most economic stability, paper money has caused financial chaos. Many besides Ron Paul believe that monetary reform is needed, backed by gold and for this to occur the Federal Reserve and Ben Bernanke need to be dismissed.

What is The Gold Standard?

Many Americans do not know what the Gold Standard is but it was the standard to back up your paper dollars with real value, namely the most valuable metal on earth, gold.
